15 years as a commercial sports photographer based in Cambridge/London, it was a move back to my birthplace of Ireland that reignited a love affair with the landscape.
This website isn't a portfolio as such, a sketchbook perhaps. A place for me to place projects, some finished, others just getting started. Some perhaps in hindsight not even projects, simply a collection of moments. My relationship with photography has changed a lot over the past few years. Grown deeper than I thought possible. It crowds my mind. Awake in the darkness. Looking for light. Sometimes the need to create can be suffocating. If only it was as easy as 'the gram' would make you think. But then if it was I don't think I would be in love with it as much as I am.
I find it challenging to articulate my thoughts on my relationship with photography. So I make images. Constantly. Often no more than moments of time that perhaps one day, as I look back, will help me understand the why. Or perhaps they will forever remain just that, moments.  I'm okay with that either way.
This is also about recovery—my own.
I published a monthly newsletter/magazine and if you would like to continue to follow my work then you can subscribe here
